The Anne Cain Golf Academy
Anne Cain started playing golf at the age of 13. Golf Magazine honored her as a Junior All-American two years later, which made her be in the top three female junior in the United States. The University of Georgia offered Anne a full golf scholarship and she continued to earn other accolades, including All-American honors and three individual honors. When she turned 21, she was able to qualify for the U.S. Women's Open. After Anne got on the professional golf circuit in 1991, she played worldwide in many golf tournaments, including the Ladies Asian Tour and Futures Golf Tour. Five years later, with two professional titles under her belt, she decided she wanted to teach the game of golf instead of play it.
The Anne Cain Golf Academy is for beginners and advanced golfers alike. The facility is located at The Golf Club on Amelia Island on Amelia Island, Florida. Amelia Island is 25 minutes away from the Jacksonville International Airport. The Ritz-Carlton, Summer Beach Resort and Amelia Island are a stone's throw walk away. In addition to attending the golf sessions, you can enjoy some fun in the sun.
The Golf Academy has a golf indoor/outdoor facility and it is climate controlled. You can practice at the hitting stations, learn short game techniques, chipping and putting and golf sessions on the golf course. In fact, Amelia Island hosted the Senior Tour Liberty Mutual Legends of Golf in 1998.
Anne Cain was named one of Golf Magazine's Top 100 Teachers in America. She uses state-of-the-art video technology for golfers to see how they're doing. This technology shaves off a lot of time that would otherwise be used to manually measure how they're doing. Because of her system, it takes less time to analyze different golf shots.
The students are videotaped from three angles and the computer creates reference lines, measures distances and angle. This video also compares your golf techniques with other golf professionals. Each part of the video is dissected step by step and the instructor discusses where the student could improve in her sport. The students also receive a DVD to review their actions. "HOT LINES" is a new technology that can pick up the student's moves, whether they're right or wrong. Because of the advanced technology, the instructor is able to give immediate feedback to the student. The student studies one part at a time in regard to the golf game and makes changes as needed.
The Ritz-Carlton on Amelia Island offers several golf and lodging packages. You can choose as many days as you want. The package includes three hours of golf sessions and utilizing the "HOT LINES" method, 19 holes of golf and other amenities. Condominiums at the Summer Beach Resort are also available for larger parties or if you just want a home away from home. This facility is close to the beach and the hotel. You can enjoy a few games of golf for a reduced rate.
Also available are three to five day golf packages, but they're only for the golf sessions. You'll receive modern technology sessions, utilizing the "HOT LINES" method, access to the video library, three hours of daily golf sessions, unrestricted use of the driving range and other amenities. If you're interested in individualized golf sessions, you'll have to contact the Academy.
