Butch Harmon has spent over 41 years of his life devoting himself to the golf world. He was introduced to the sport by his father, Claude Harmon. Claude was a well-known golf teacher and won the Masters in 1948. Soon thereafter, Butch was playing professionally and became a fixture on the PGA Tour in the 1970s. Mr. Harmon has taught many pro golfers, including Eldrick "Tiger" Woods, Greg Norman, Davis Love, Fred Couples, and Justin Leonard, just to name a few.

 

The Butch Harmon School of Golf is located in Las Vegas, Nevada. Golf instruction takes place at the Rio Secco Golf club, which is only a few minutes away from the Rio All-Suite Hotel & Casino. The award winning architect, Rees Jones, designed the 18-hole course. The scenery is set off the Black Mountain Range, which is also in Las Vegas. Its natural beauty makes this course one of the best.

 

The instructors are skilled in showing you the finer points of golf. They also provide individualized sessions, and the class ratio is small (8:1). They focus on your particular needs for the sport and teach you how to understand the game and excel with the techniques.

 

To take advantage of the best value for your golf session, the Rio Hotel offers a one and three day golf package, if you decide to stay there. Part of this package includes working on swing techniques indoors and on the driving range. The afternoon is spent on a 9-hole course practicing golf. The instructors will teach you how to perfect your golf swing, along with chipping and putting. You will get all this and more on a championship golf course. The instructors are experienced in working with people of all levels. They are skilled in crafting your golf skills to an advanced level.

 

To effectively analyze your golf swing, the Butch Harmon School of Golf uses state of the art video computer equipment to make that happen. The software helps to see how far you are and to implement techniques that you need for a better fit. After review of the video, the instructor will give you tips and suggestions to improve your swing techniques. They will also help you to select the best golf clubs to decrease your golf score.

 

The Butch Harmon School of Golf has different golf packages to choose from:

• Three Day Golf Session with Butch Harmon - includes four nights at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel Casino, three days of golf training with Mr. Harmon and his instructors, video analysis and an 18-hole session at Cascata Golf club with the instructors.
• Three Day Golf Session with Instructors Only - includes four nights at the Rio Hotel, three days of golf training with the instructors, video analysis and two 9-hole golf lessons with the instructors at Rio Secco Golf Course.
• Two Day Golf Session with Butch Harmon - includes three nights at the Paris Las Vegas Hotel Casino, two days of golf training with Mr. Harmon and his instructors, video analysis and one 9-hole golf lesson with the instructors at Rio Secco Golf Course.
• Two Day Golf Session with Instructors Only - includes three nights at the Rio Hotel, two days of golf training with the instructors, video analysis and one 9-hole playing lesson.

The school also offers one day lessons with the instructors and a one day corporate school with the instructors. In addition to this, the instructors are available for private and individual lessons. Mr. Harmon does not teach private lessons. You can also request hourly, local or junior rates for golf lessons.
